My Inaugural Post - What Are We Doing Here?

Hello and welcome to Burkett Blueprint! In my inaugural post, I find it fitting to introduce myself, explain the purpose of this newsletter, and share our objectives.

It all began with a chance encounter with a man sporting a funny hat at Lifetime Athletic in Des Moines, IA, where I worked as a salesman seven years ago. This encounter led to a life-changing moment when the man, once a physical therapist, introduced me to the world of options trading. Little did I know then that this event would set me on a path towards a deep understanding of financial options, strategies, and market dynamics.

Fast forward to today, and I am exclusively trading options, futures, and options on futures for all my accounts, whether for retirement or otherwise. I have come to believe that the financial skills acquired through trading not only generate profits but also greatly impact decision-making in various aspects of life, empowering us to assess risks more effectively.

Through this newsletter, I aim to document my journey and demystify derivatives for the average person. My goal is to provide market awareness, education ranging from investing 101 to advanced concepts, and highlight the importance of actively participating in both investing and life to achieve success.

Each newsletter edition will consist of bite-sized lessons, ideally taking no more than 5 minutes to read, and you can expect 1-2 articles per week!
